Donald Trump has claimed that Iran has agreed in principle to relinquish its nuclear materials, insisting the United States will demand full control over what he described as “nuclear dust” as part of any potential agreement.

“We want the nuclear dust… we’ve agreed to that,” Trump said, underscoring Washington’s push for Tehran to give up all enriched uranium and related materials.

The remarks come amid what Trump described as “very good and productive” negotiations aimed at ending escalating tensions and preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons capability.

The US leader framed the demand as non-negotiable, signalling a hardline stance that would require Iran to dismantle key elements of its nuclear programme entirely.

However, uncertainty remains over the status of the talks, with Iranian officials reportedly disputing the existence or scope of any such agreement, highlighting ongoing mistrust between the two sides.

Analysts say the insistence on surrendering all nuclear material could prove a major sticking point in negotiations, even as diplomatic efforts intensify to avoid further military escalation in the region.
