Former United States President Donald Trump has sparked fresh controversy after suggesting that the US could directly take possession of enriched uranium under a potential agreement.
Responding to a reporter’s question on how such material would be obtained, Trump dismissed concerns, stating that the process would be “very easy” if a deal were reached — adding that the United States would “go and take it ourselves.”
The remarks are likely to intensify debate over nuclear diplomacy and raise concerns among international observers about the implications of unilateral action in sensitive global agreements.
