Former APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Timi Frank, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to suspend FCT Minister Nyesom Wike over alleged corrupt property acquisitions in the United States.

In a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja, Frank accused Tinubu of double standards, recalling the swift suspension of former Humanitarian Affairs Minister, Betta Edu, over what he described as “far less serious” allegations.

Media reports allege that Wike purchased properties in Florida under the names of his wife, Justice Eberechi Wike, and their children. Frank argued that Tinubu’s silence despite “overwhelming evidence” from outlets such as People’s Gazette and SaharaReporters suggests selective justice.

He warned that shielding Wike for political reasons ahead of the 2027 elections could damage Nigeria’s international reputation and erode investor confidence.

Frank further criticised the President’s handling of the Rivers State political crisis, saying it highlighted inconsistency and favouritism. He urged Tinubu to “protect Nigeria’s dignity” by rejecting selective justice and political expediency.
