One of six defendants charged over an alleged failed plot to overthrow the administration of Bola Tinubu has appeared at the Federal High Court in Abuja ahead of scheduled arraignment proceedings on Wednesday.
Abdulkadir Sani, an Islamic cleric from Zaria in Kaduna State, arrived at the court premises at about 9:00 a.m., ahead of the hearing.
The case, which centres on accusations of a foiled attempt to destabilise the government, involves six defendants whose identities and specific charges are expected to be formally outlined during the arraignment.
Authorities have yet to release further details regarding the alleged plot. The court proceedings are expected to shed more light on the charges and the roles of those involved.
