Nigeria’s Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, has commissioned the newly completed 1.2-kilometre Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Flyover in Ekiti State, describing the project as a significant milestone in the state’s infrastructure development agenda.
Representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during a one-day working visit to the state on Tuesday, Shettima officially inaugurated the flyover, one of the flagship legacy projects of the administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji.
The Vice President was joined at the commissioning ceremony by Governor Oyebanji, Ondo State Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa, Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, alongside other senior government officials, political leaders and dignitaries.
The flyover is expected to improve traffic flow, enhance road safety and boost economic activities within Ado-Ekiti and its surrounding communities, reflecting the state government’s broader commitment to modernising critical infrastructure.
The inauguration formed part of activities marking the Vice President’s official visit to Ekiti State, underscoring the Federal Government’s support for strategic infrastructure projects aimed at driving economic growth and improving the quality of life for Nigerians.
