Reality TV star and entrepreneur, Terseer Waya, popularly known as Kiddwaya, has opened up about the traits he considers essential when choosing a life partner.
Speaking on an episode of the Off The Record Podcast, the former Big Brother Naija housemate said character, values, and spirituality matter more to him than social class or wealth.
“I don’t pick based on background or status. Just be nice, have good energy, and stay grounded. I’m very easy to please when it comes to relationships,” Kiddwaya said.
The billionaire’s son emphasised that a belief in a higher power is important to him, although it does not have to be tied to any particular religion. “You have to believe in God. It doesn’t have to be tied to religion, but there must be a belief in something higher than us,” he added.
Kiddwaya, known for his vibrant personality and adventurous lifestyle, explained that he pays close attention to how people treat others, especially those in lower positions. “The way you speak to a waiter or anyone who’s not on your level says everything about you. Respect should never depend on status,” he stated.
He also spoke about his love for spontaneity, saying he wants a partner who can keep up with his energy and embrace new experiences. “I could wake up and say, ‘Babe, we’re going to Jamaica tomorrow,’ and I want her to say, ‘Let’s go.’ I just like someone who can match my energy and enjoy the moment,” Kiddwaya said with a laugh.
The reality star’s comments have since sparked conversations among fans about his outlook on relationships and whether his criteria reflect the realities of modern dating in Nigeria.
Kiddwaya, who first gained fame during the Big Brother Naija Lockdown season, has remained one of the most talked-about personalities in Nigerian entertainment, often sharing his views on love, success, and self-development.
