Former Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Faith Adewale, has received a ₦38 million electric car prize despite being disqualified from the popular reality show earlier this month.
Faith, who was removed from the competition on October 2 after a heated physical altercation with fellow contestant Sultana during a soap-making task, was officially presented with the prize by the show’s organisers and sponsors at a brief ceremony.
The ex-housemate, visibly delighted, was captured inspecting the car’s dashboard and battery display. “Is it charged… how do I know the battery level?” he asked with a grin while interacting with show officials at the event.
There had been widespread speculation among fans about whether Faith would forfeit his winnings following his disqualification. However, the organisers later clarified that prizes earned before his exit would remain intact.
“All prizes Faith earned prior to his disqualification, including the electric car, stand as valid,” a statement from the organisers confirmed.
The presentation ended the uncertainty surrounding the matter, especially as Season 10 winner, Imisi, had already received her vehicle shortly after the show’s conclusion.
Faith, a 25-year-old medical doctor and augmented reality creator, gained significant attention during his brief stay in the house for his creative ideas and competitive spirit.
Upon his exit, Faith’s father warmly welcomed him home and offered words of encouragement. “You have done well, my son. Your destiny cannot be cut short,” he reportedly told him.
The electric Innoson vehicle, worth ₦38 million, was one of the major prizes associated with the reality show, which continues to attract millions of viewers across Nigeria and beyond.
Faith’s case has reignited conversations about the fairness of reward policies for disqualified contestants and the extent of organisers’ obligations to uphold previously earned prizes.
