Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has visited the community where more than 100 worshippers were abducted in a brazen attack, assuring residents that his administration is taking decisive steps to secure the release of the victims and restore safety to the area.
The governor arrived in the affected community amid tight security, meeting with local leaders, clerics and families of those kidnapped. He described the incident as “deeply troubling” and reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to protecting lives and property.
Governor Sani said security agencies had been directed to intensify operations across the area, working closely with federal authorities to track down the perpetrators and rescue the abducted worshippers unharmed. He added that intelligence-led operations were already underway to prevent a recurrence of such attacks.
During the visit, the governor commiserated with the families of the victims and called for calm, urging residents not to lose faith in the efforts of the authorities. He also pledged continued support for the community, including humanitarian assistance for those affected by the attack.
Community leaders, in turn, appealed for sustained security presence and improved intelligence gathering to curb the spate of kidnappings in the region.
The abduction of the worshippers has sparked widespread outrage and renewed concerns over insecurity in parts of Kaduna State, as residents and civil society groups call for stronger measures to protect vulnerable communities.
