The National Chairman of Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has addressed growing speculation surrounding the absence of Siminalayi Fubara from the party’s screening exercise.

Speaking after the session, Yilwatda said Governor Fubara was not screened on the scheduled day due to circumstances he described as procedural and administrative, dismissing suggestions of internal division or political exclusion.

The clarification comes amid heightened attention over Fubara’s political standing within the party and ongoing power dynamics in Rivers State.

While details surrounding the governor’s rescheduled appearance remain unclear, party officials insist the process remains transparent and in line with established guidelines.

Political observers say the development has intensified speculation over shifting alliances and internal calculations within the APC ahead of critical political engagements.
