Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Nairobi ahead of the 2026 Africa-France Summit, a gathering expected to focus on trade, security, climate cooperation and diplomatic ties between African nations and France.
The Nigerian leader was received by senior Kenyan officials upon arrival, as regional leaders and international delegates converge on the Kenyan capital for the high-level summit.
The meeting comes amid growing calls for a reset in Africa-France relations, with discussions likely to centre on economic partnerships, investment, regional stability and Africa’s evolving geopolitical influence.
Tinubu’s participation is also expected to reinforce Nigeria’s role in shaping continental policy conversations at a time of heightened diplomatic and economic realignments across Africa.
