The United States has strongly condemned the killing of members of Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo’s family in Plateau State, describing the attack as “horrific” and calling for those responsible to be swiftly brought to justice.

In a statement, the US Department of State’s Bureau of African Affairs expressed deep concern over the deadly incident, urging Nigerian authorities to ensure a thorough investigation and hold the perpetrators accountable.

“The killing of members of Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo’s family is horrific. Those responsible must be held accountable,” the bureau said.

The condemnation comes amid renewed concerns over persistent violence in parts of Plateau State, where recurring attacks have claimed dozens of lives and displaced many residents in recent months.

The US reiterated the importance of protecting civilians and ensuring justice for victims, while urging efforts to end the cycle of violence in the region.

Nigerian authorities have yet to issue a detailed response to the US statement, although security agencies are expected to continue investigations into the attack.
