Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Wednesday held a closed-door meeting with former President Goodluck Jonathan at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Details of the meeting were not immediately disclosed, but such engagements between current and former leaders often centre on national issues, governance, and political developments.
Jonathan, who served as Nigeria’s president from 2010 to 2015, arrived at the Villa earlier in the day and was received by top government officials before proceeding to the meeting with Tinubu.
There was no official statement from the presidency at the time of reporting regarding the outcome of the discussions.
