President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged Nigerians who are yet to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to do so, appealing to citizens to participate actively in the country’s democratic process.
The president made the appeal while promising a better future for Nigerians, with commitments to improved infrastructure, education, skills development and employment opportunities.
“If you didn’t collect your PVC, please go and collect your PVC. I’m begging you for the sake of your future,” Tinubu said.
“I promise you a better future, I promise you development, I promise you education, I promise you skill development, I promise you jobs,” he added.
The president’s remarks come as political activities and preparations gradually gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general election.
PVC collection remains a key requirement for eligible Nigerians seeking to participate in elections, as the card enables registered voters to exercise their constitutional right to vote.
Tinubu’s appeal is likely to generate further political reactions, particularly as Nigerians continue to assess the administration’s performance and the promises made ahead of the next electoral contest.
