The new institution is aimed at advancing agricultural innovation, environmental sustainability, and technical education in the state, with a strong focus on equipping young people with practical skills for modern farming and environmental management.

Governor Sani said the college will serve as a catalyst for rural development, food security, and job creation, particularly in underserved areas. He added that it forms part of his administration’s broader strategy to strengthen education, diversify the state’s economy, and harness the potential of agriculture as a major driver of growth.

The college is expected to offer diploma and certificate programmes in agricultural technology, environmental sciences, agribusiness, and related disciplines, while fostering research and collaboration with local and international partners.
