Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, has asserted that Nigeria’s international relevance is on the rise, claiming that even the United States relies on the country’s support in key global matters.

Speaking during a recent media engagement, Bwala said Nigeria has continued to demonstrate leadership across diplomatic, security, and economic spheres, adding that President Tinubu’s foreign policy initiatives are drawing renewed respect from major global powers.

“Even the United States of America needs us to help them, and we have been helping them,” Bwala stated, emphasising that Nigeria’s strategic position in Africa and its longstanding partnerships make it an indispensable player in global affairs.

He highlighted ongoing collaborations between Nigeria and the US, particularly in the areas of counterterrorism, trade, and democratic governance. According to him, these partnerships underscore Nigeria’s importance at a time when global alliances are being reshaped.

Bwala also noted that President Tinubu’s administration is working to strengthen Nigeria’s role on the world stage through reforms aimed at economic stability, security enhancement, and improved regional cooperation.

He urged Nigerians to recognise the country’s growing diplomatic leverage, saying the government remains committed to positioning Nigeria as a key contributor to global peace, stability, and development.
