Former Kaduna Central senator, Shehu Sani, has dismissed claims suggesting that he is being considered for an ambassadorial appointment, insisting that his name has never featured on any such list.
Speaking on Monday, Sani said he remains committed to ongoing responsibilities within Kaduna State and believes it is too early in his political journey to take up a diplomatic posting.
“My name has never been on the list for an ambassadorial position. I think I’m too young to be an ambassador. I still have a lot to deliver to my people in Kaduna State,” he said.
The former lawmaker maintained that his priority is contributing to the development of the state and deepening democratic engagement at home, rather than accepting roles that would take him away from local political duties.
Sani’s remarks come amid heightened speculation over potential political appointments expected to be announced in the coming weeks. His clarification puts to rest rumours that he may soon be heading to a foreign mission.
