The Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media to Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Lere Olayinka, has fired back at Rivers State governor Siminalayi Fubara over his recent comment, “the Red Biro is still filled. It is still here with me.”

Fubara, while speaking at the crossover service held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Opobo, in Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area, stated that “The Red Biro is still filled. It is still here with me. Every plan of the enemy will continue to crash.”

Reacting to Fubara’s statement, Wike’s spokesperson responded, saying: “Someone who has only used the RED BIRO for less than 2 years is somewhere reminding himself and boasting that ‘The Red Biro is still filled. It is still here with me. Issokay.

“Shouldn’t he also be reminded that someone has used the same RED BIRO for 14 years and is still using it?”

The red biro stands for the overwhelming power of the governor under the presidential system and the advantage of immunity while in office.

A group, the Rivers Restoration Movement (RRM), had earlier urged the governor to remember his past and how fate moved him to the number one seat.
