Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, representing Kogi West Senatorial District, marked the Kabba Cultural Day celebration with a resounding show of support for peace, unity, and development in the region. Describing Kabba as the undisputed headquarters and a trailblazer for progress in Kogi West, Senator Karimi extended heartfelt congratulations to Kabba indigenes both at home and in the diaspora, expressing pride in his identity as a “Kabba man.”
Highlighting the importance of harmony among the Okun people and across Kogi West, the Senator urged vigilance amid rising security challenges, encouraging residents to report unfamiliar individuals and suspicious activities to local law enforcement promptly. He reiterated that security is a communal responsibility and commended efforts by all levels of government to restore and maintain peace within the district and beyond.
Senator Karimi also reinforced President Bola Tinubu’s dedication to national reconstruction and called on the people of Kogi West to support the President’s re-election campaign. He emphasized that mass voter registration and participation are vital to sustaining the momentum of inclusive governance and development in the state.
In a significant show of commitment, the Senator donated ₦20 million towards the Kabba Cultural Day event and pledged an additional ₦30 million before the end of the year, bringing his total contributions to ₦50 million. He urged constituents to leverage their votes as a source of strength to back the President’s administration and accelerate progress in Kogi West.
