Residents of Katsina State, survivors of violent bandit attacks, traditional rulers, civil society organisations, and other key stakeholders gathered for the #NCKatsinaTownHall to share their experiences and explore practical solutions to the persistent insecurity ravaging communities across the state.

The forum offered survivors an opportunity to recount the devastating impact of banditry, detailing the loss of loved ones, destruction of homes and livelihoods, displacement of families, and the lasting emotional scars left by years of violence.

Participants also examined strategies to tackle banditry through stronger collaboration between communities and security agencies, improved support for victims, enhanced intelligence gathering, and sustained peacebuilding initiatives aimed at rebuilding trust and restoring normalcy.

The town hall concluded with a renewed call for decisive government action and a collective commitment by stakeholders to end banditry, rehabilitate affected communities, and restore peace, security, and hope across Katsina State.
