The governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal, has said that the effectiveness of any administration depends largely on the strength and cohesion of its political base.
Speaking on Saturday in Gusau, Lawal made the remarks during a state congress of the All Progressives Congress (APC), where party members gathered to deliberate on internal structures and future strategy.
The governor emphasised that governance cannot thrive in isolation from political support, noting that a solid and united base provides the stability needed to implement policies and deliver results.
His comments come amid ongoing political realignments in the state, with stakeholders seeking to consolidate party structures ahead of future electoral cycles.
Lawal’s remarks highlight the enduring influence of party cohesion in Nigeria’s political landscape, where internal unity is often seen as a decisive factor in both governance and electoral success.
