Former Jigawa State governor Sule Lamido has declared Goodluck Jonathan as the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) strongest contender for the 2027 presidential election, should he join the race.
Labelling Jonathan unmatched in experience, composure, and collaborative spirit, Lamido argued no other southern candidate could rival him.
He urged Nigerians to prioritise national interest over personal ambitions, hinting that even Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi might step aside for Jonathan.
Slamming President Tinubu’s unfulfilled promises, Lamido claimed the APC leader’s tenure has been a failure, predicting his political downfall by 2027.
