Fresh cracks within the political camp of Siminalayi Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, resurfaced after a political associate dismissed claims linking him to the ongoing tensions within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

“I am not a native doctor. Fubara never told me he had any problem in the APC,” the figure said, rejecting speculation that he possessed insider knowledge or spiritual influence over the political dispute.

The remarks come amid persistent political friction surrounding the relationship between Fubara and Wike, once close allies whose rivalry has increasingly shaped the power dynamics in Rivers State.

Political observers say the statement reflects the growing atmosphere of mistrust and public accusations trailing the crisis, which has continued to spark debate over loyalty, control and influence within the state’s political structure.

Neither Fubara nor Wike immediately responded publicly to the latest comments, but the widening exchanges highlight the deepening divisions threatening political cohesion within the camp.
