IGP Vows Swift Rescue of Abducted Oyo Pupils, Teachers as Nationwide Search Intensifies

Nigeria’s Inspector General of Police, Tunji Disu, has assured the public that security agencies are working tirelessly to secure the safe release of the teachers and schoolchildren abducted in Oyo State, expressing confidence that the victims will soon be reunited with their families.

Speaking amid growing public concern over the incident, Disu said security operatives have intensified coordinated rescue efforts and are pursuing credible leads to ensure the abductees are returned unharmed.

The police chief urged Nigerians to remain calm and avoid spreading unverified information that could undermine ongoing operations, while reaffirming the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to protecting lives and bringing those responsible to justice.

The abduction has heightened concerns over insecurity in parts of the country, with families anxiously awaiting the safe return of their loved ones.
