The Presidential Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms Committee has broadened its specialised training programme for Nigerian content creators, following an overwhelming response from digital influencers eager to better understand the country’s newly enacted tax laws.
Originally designed to accommodate 20 creators, the initiative will now train 50 influencers in order to widen public access to reliable, fact-checked information on the reforms. The Committee, chaired by Taiwo Oyedele, said the expansion reflects the strong public interest in accurate civic education across social media platforms.
Fresh Call for Eligible Creators
The Committee has issued an additional invitation to qualified content creators to apply immediately. To be considered, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum combined followership of 10,000 across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X (Twitter), LinkedIn and YouTube.
- Full availability to attend the specialised session.
- A firm commitment to accuracy, including readiness to seek official clarification before publishing tax-related material.
The application link is open to qualifying creators, with the deadline set for Monday, 8 December 2025.
According to the Committee, the extra 30 slots will be filled strictly based on verified total followership across the approved platforms.
What Selected Creators Will Gain
Participants will receive direct training from the Committee on the provisions of the new tax laws, as well as ongoing access to Mr Oyedele and senior officials for fact-checking and clarifications before publishing any educational content. Those selected will also be featured on an updated official list of the “Top 50 Tax Reform Education Creators” to be released after the training.
In a statement, the Committee expressed appreciation to all applicants, saying: “We truly appreciate your patriotism and commitment to accurate public education. Don’t just watch history unfold — participate. Learn. Upskill. Contribute.”
