The management of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, has intensified its crackdown on student misconduct, announcing the expulsion of four undergraduates and the rustication of another.

The disciplinary actions, which range from allegations of lesbianism to physical assault and cyber-related crimes, followed the recommendations of the University’s Students’ Disciplinary Committee. The decision was ratified during the institution’s 30th Regular Senate Meeting held on April 29, 2026.

According to official statements signed by the Deputy Registrar (Academic Affairs), Eli Gbadafu, two female students—Ezekiel Precious Omeneke (200-level Economics) and Aku Joy Chinyere (200-level Accounting)—were expelled for their alleged involvement in lesbianism.

The university also expelled Musa Abdulhakeem Onimisi, a 200-level Petroleum and Gas Engineering student, for allegedly stabbing a fellow student during a physical altercation.

In a separate case involving digital misconduct, Dominion Kolade A., a 200-level Physiotherapy student, was expelled for allegedly cloning and circulating unauthorized photographs of two female students.

Additionally, the university management rusticated Agbakaru Kosikochukwu, a 200-level Radiography student, for one academic session following a report of fighting and physical assault.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdulrahman Asipita Salawu, commended the disciplinary committee for its thorough investigation. He emphasized that the university is committed to producing graduates who are not only academically sound but also upright in character.

“The university will continue to enforce its rules and regulations without compromise to ensure a safe and morally sound learning environment,” the management warned, advising students to protect their academic futures by avoiding social vices.
