Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, has said his previous criticisms of the President are no longer valid, insisting they were based on circumstances that have since changed.
Speaking during a television interview, Bwala explained that his earlier comments were made before he joined the Tinubu administration and reflected his assessment of the political situation at the time.
He maintained that while his past statements were not lies, they have become “baseless” in light of developments since President Tinubu assumed office.
According to Bwala, governance has provided him with a different perspective, leading him to reassess many of the positions he previously held against the President.
He argued that it is neither unusual nor dishonest for individuals to change their views when presented with new facts or firsthand experience, adding that his current support for President Tinubu is rooted in what he now considers the realities of the administration’s policies and performance.
Bwala’s remarks come amid continued public scrutiny over the shift in stance by several political figures who were once vocal critics of President Tinubu but have since joined his government.
