The All Progressives Congress (APC) says it has successfully completed the upload of all its governorship, deputy governorship and State House of Assembly candidates for the 2027 General Elections to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Candidate Nomination Portal, marking a key milestone in its preparations for the polls.
The announcement was made on Friday by the party’s National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, who described the exercise as a testament to the APC’s organisational strength and readiness ahead of the nationwide elections.
According to the APC, the party achieved a 100 per cent upload of 56 governorship and deputy governorship candidates alongside 1,015 State House of Assembly candidates across the country, completing the nomination process within the timeline set by INEC.
Prof. Yilwatda congratulated party leaders, members and candidates on the successful completion of the exercise, saying the achievement reflects the APC’s internal coordination and commitment to meeting electoral requirements.
He added that, with the nomination phase concluded, the ruling party would now intensify engagement with Nigerians while promoting the achievements of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda as it positions itself for the 2027 general elections.
