Aliko Dangote Retires as Chairman of Dangote Cement, Emmanuel Ikazoboh Appointed Successor

Aliko Dangote, Africa’s wealthiest individual, has stepped down as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dangote Cement Plc.

In a statement released on Friday, the company’s spokesperson, Anthony Chiejina, confirmed that the retirement took effect on 25 July 2025.

The Board has appointed Emmanuel Ikazoboh, an independent non-executive director, as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors.
