A group of young supporters has purchased the nomination forms of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), valued at ₦50 million, on behalf of Senator Aliyu Wadada, as preparations intensify for the 2027 governorship race in Nasarawa State.
The forms were reportedly obtained and presented on Wednesday, marking a symbolic show of backing for the senator’s expected bid in the APC primaries ahead of the next gubernatorial election cycle.
According to sources familiar with the development, the initiative was driven by a coalition of young political supporters seeking to demonstrate grassroots enthusiasm for Wadada’s potential candidacy.
While the senator has yet to formally declare his intention to contest, the purchase is widely seen as a strong political signal within party circles, as realignments begin to take shape ahead of the 2027 elections.
The APC is expected to conduct its primaries in the coming months as aspirants jostle for the party’s ticket in one of Nigeria’s politically competitive states.
