Hajiya Asia El-Rufai, wife of former Nasir El-Rufai, has appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to accord her husband fair and just treatment, reminding the president of the unwavering support their family gave to his successful 2023 presidential campaign.
Speaking amid the growing political tensions surrounding the former Kaduna State governor, Asia El-Rufai maintained that her husband was among the key political figures who worked tirelessly to mobilise support for Tinubu’s emergence as president.
She stressed that loyalty and sacrifices made during the electioneering period should not be forgotten, urging the president to rise above political differences and ensure that justice, fairness and due process prevail in his dealings with her husband.
According to her, those who stood firmly behind Tinubu’s presidential ambition deserve equitable treatment, irrespective of evolving political realities.
