A shocking video circulating online has revealed the horrifying moment members of the Agunechemba Vigilante Group, also known as Operation Udo Ga-Achi, stormed a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) lodge in Anambra State, brutally assaulting and humiliating several corps members.

The footage, shared by the Haven 360 Foundation on Facebook, shows the appalling assault on Jennifer Edema Elohor, a female NYSC member, who was attacked and stripped naked by the vigilantes. The video has caused widespread outrage and raised serious concerns about the safety of young Nigerians serving their country through the NYSC program.

According to the Haven 360 Foundation, the vigilantes accused the corps members of involvement in internet fraud, commonly referred to as “yahoo yahoo,” and subjected them to violent treatment despite their prompt presentation of NYSC identification cards. The group’s actions, which included severe beatings, verbal abuse, and threats of sexual assault, have been condemned as a gross violation of human rights.

In a statement issued by the foundation, they expressed their deep concern: “We strongly condemn the brutal assault and violation of rights of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members by operatives of Operation Udo Ga-Achi, or the Agunechemba Vigilante Group, in Anambra State.”

The incident occurred on July 23, 2025, when the vigilantes stormed the corpers’ lodge and accused the members of being involved in fraudulent activities. The foundation stated that despite the victims presenting their official identification and wearing their NYSC uniforms, they were still subjected to the inhumane treatment.

The most disturbing case involved Jennifer Edema Elohor, who was viciously beaten, stripped, and left exposed, covered in blood. The victims were subjected to degrading and sexually inappropriate remarks, adding to the trauma of the assault.

The Haven 360 Foundation has called for a full investigation into the matter, demanding accountability for the actions of the vigilantes.

This incident has sparked outrage across social media platforms, with many Nigerians calling for justice and stronger measures to protect the safety and dignity of individuals, especially those serving in the NYSC.
