Soccer star Victor Osimhen made a heartwarming gesture during Galatasaray’s recent victory over Goztepe at RAMS Park by displaying a jersey with birthday messages for the twin sons of Nigerian business tycoon Tony Elumelu.
Osimhen, who scored the game’s first goal in the 2-1 win, marked the occasion with a spectacularly executed penalty in the tenth minute. This goal was his 10th league goal for Galatasaray since joining the team in mid-2024.
During his celebration, Osimhen requested a custom Galatasaray jersey from the bench and posed for cameras with the message “Happy birthday, Tony and Toby.”
Galatasaray, unaware of the recipients of the message, later joined in the celebration on social media. Elumelu then clarified that the message was for his twin sons, expressing gratitude for Osimhen’s promise to dedicate a goal to them on their 10th birthday.
Galatasaray currently leads the Turkish league with an impressive 11-point lead ahead of Fenerbache in second place.
