Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has declared that he will not be intimidated by those he claims are seeking to exploit the country’s security challenges for political ends, insisting that he remains determined to pursue a second term in office.
Speaking amid growing concerns over insecurity across parts of the country, Tinubu said his political opponents were hoping to use the situation to force him out of power.
“My enemies want to use insecurity in the country to get rid of me, but I am a stubborn politician. I simply refuse to go,” the president said.
Tinubu reaffirmed his commitment to seeking re-election, stating that neither political pressure nor security challenges would deter him from his ambitions.
The remarks come as his administration continues to face scrutiny over efforts to tackle insecurity and address economic hardships affecting millions of Nigerians.
