President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, for the progress recorded in tackling insecurity and advancing development across the state.
Governor Ododo received the President at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where he briefed him on the security situation in Kogi and highlighted the impact of ongoing collaboration between the Federal Government and the state administration.
Speaking after the meeting, the governor said the joint efforts of both governments had resulted in significant successes against banditry and terrorism, leading to improved safety for residents and better protection of lives and property across the state.
Ododo also expressed appreciation to President Tinubu for the Federal Government’s continued support through interventions in critical sectors, including infrastructure, security and economic development, which he said had strengthened the state’s capacity to deliver dividends of democracy.
In his response, President Tinubu praised the governor for the strides made in improving security and driving development in Kogi.
The President encouraged Ododo to remain committed to consolidating the achievements already recorded, while sustaining efforts aimed at promoting peace, economic growth and improved living standards for the people of the state.
The meeting underscored the Federal Government’s continued partnership with state governments in addressing security challenges and accelerating development across the country.
