President Bola Tinubu has celebrated his wife and First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, on her 66th birthday, describing her as the person who “truly understands” him and has remained a source of strength throughout their years together.
In a birthday message issued on Monday, President Tinubu praised Mrs Tinubu for standing by him through difficult periods, describing her as his “truest friend and confidante”.
He said she had accompanied him through the challenges of their shared journey with “patience, grace and uncommon courage”.
The president also expressed appreciation for her support and companionship, highlighting the role she has played in his personal and public life.
“Over the years, you have stood beside me through moments of triumph and difficulty,” Mr Tinubu said, according to the statement.
He wished the First Lady continued good health, happiness and fulfilment as she marks her 66th birthday.
Mrs Tinubu, a former senator who represented Lagos Central, has served as Nigeria’s First Lady since President Tinubu assumed office in May 2023.
