•Lawmaker to lead party outreach, engagement, and mobilization
President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of a ranking member of the House of Representatives and veteran political strategist, Hon. James Faleke, as the Deputy Secretary for Party Outreach, Engagement, and Mobilization for the Renewed Hope Ambassadors.
Faleke, who represents Ikeja Federal Constituency in the Green Chamber and served as the Secretary of the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) during the 2023 elections, will specifically represent the South West geopolitical zone in this high-level political body.
The “Renewed Hope Ambassadors” is a strategic initiative designed to bridge the gap between the Presidency and the grassroots, ensuring that the administration’s policies are effectively communicated while maintaining a robust political structure ahead of future engagements.
Confirming the appointment in a statement on Wednesday, Hon. Faleke expressed his gratitude to the President for the confidence reposed in him to manage such a critical aspect of the administration’s political machinery.
“I am pleased to announce my appointment by the President as the Deputy Secretary for Party Outreach, Engagement, and Mobilization of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors. I represent the South West in this capacity,” Faleke stated.
He further emphasized that his focus would be on deepening the party’s footprints in the region and ensuring that the “Renewed Hope” agenda translates into tangible political capital at the unit, ward, and local government levels.
Political analysts view Faleke’s appointment as a tactical move by President Tinubu to consolidate his support base in the South West. Faleke’s track record as a master mobilizer is well-documented, having played a pivotal role in the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last general elections.
The role of “Party Outreach, Engagement, and Mobilization” is expected to involve intensive town hall meetings, stakeholder consultations, and the coordination of support groups across the six states of the South West—Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, and Ekiti.
The appointment comes at a time when the administration is seeking to amplify its achievements and maintain a steady dialogue with the electorate. Insiders suggest that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors will serve as the “political eyes and ears” of the President, ensuring that party members remain unified and motivated.

As Deputy Secretary for the South West, Faleke is expected to work closely with other regional secretaries and the national leadership of the group to harmonize mobilization efforts across the country.
His colleagues in the National Assembly and APC party stalwarts have already begun sending congratulatory messages, describing the appointment as “putting a round peg in a round hole” given his extensive experience in political administration and grassroots networking.
