TAJBank Limited has reported a 74 per cent year-on-year increase in Profit Before Tax (PBT) for the 2025 financial year, strengthening its position in Nigeria’s growing non-interest banking sector.
The bank’s audited financial statements for the year ended December 2025 also showed a significant expansion in its balance sheet, with total assets rising to N1.34 trillion, up from N953 billion recorded in the previous financial year.
TAJBank’s total equity also climbed sharply to N149.23 billion, representing a 144 per cent increase from N61.25 billion a year earlier.
The strong performance comes as the lender continues to expand its presence in Nigeria’s ethical banking market, where non-interest banking products are increasingly gaining traction among individuals, businesses and institutions.
The bank described the results as a reflection of sustained growth across key areas of its operations, underlining its focus on innovation, financial inclusion and Sharia-compliant banking solutions.
TAJBank, which describes itself as Nigeria’s largest non-interest bank by assets, has in recent years expanded its product offerings and market presence as competition intensifies within the country’s financial services industry.
The latest results also point to a stronger capital position, which could provide the bank with greater capacity to support future expansion and deepen its financing activities.
The lender’s improved financial performance was accompanied by higher dividend payments, signalling stronger returns for its shareholders.
The results further consolidate TAJBank’s position among Nigeria’s leading non-interest financial institutions as the sector continues to develop alongside the country’s broader banking industry.
