The State Security Service (SSS) has called for deeper collaboration with the Nigerian Army’s 1 Division in Kaduna to bolster the nation’s security architecture.
Director of the SSS, Hakeem Abiola, made the appeal during a courtesy visit on Monday to the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Division, Major General Abubakar Wase.
Mr Abiola congratulated the GOC on his recent appointment, emphasising that the visit was aimed at fostering synergy in combating insurgency, banditry and other threats within the Division’s area of responsibility.
In response, Major General Wase reiterated the Army’s commitment to a non-kinetic security strategy, stressing the importance of cooperation with sister security agencies in sustaining peace and stability.
He assured that the Division would continue to work closely with the Kaduna State Government and other stakeholders to maintain a secure and peaceful environment across the state.
