Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has confessed to using hard drugs, but shifted the blame squarely onto her husband, politician Ned Nwoko. In a detailed Instagram post on Sunday, Daniels accused Nwoko of orchestrating her addiction as a means to control and manipulate her.

Her statement was a rebuttal to Nwoko’s recent claim that Daniels’ family introduced her to drugs. She dismissed this narrative as a deliberate distraction from her serious allegations of domestic violence and unlawful confinement.

Daniels further claimed that Nwoko colluded with his doctor to administer medications intended for bipolar disorder to alter her behavior—asserting that he preferred her to be “sexier” and more compliant while under the influence.

She challenged the sincerity of Nwoko’s calls for her rehabilitation, stating that his “drug narrative” only surfaced after she made the decision to leave him. According to Daniels, the real motive behind the accusations is Nwoko’s efforts to isolate her by arresting her brothers and severing her ties with family.

“Ned, how could you lie so openly and without even small remorse? You know my family has absolutely nothing to do with this,” Daniels wrote. “You have always tried to cut them off because of the bond we share, and now you are trying to make them look bad for no reason.”

Acknowledging her drug use, Daniels said, “Fine, I did drugs. So what? Is that even the issue between us? The moment we had a fight, you rushed to the public shouting ‘drugs, drugs, drugs’ because you knew it would make a perfect story for the media, something dramatic enough to distract everyone from the real issue!”

She detailed a pattern of psychological abuse, accusing Nwoko of attempting to isolate her: “You want to find a reason to arrest everyone around me so that I will have no one left beside me, no friend, no support, no safe place to turn to. Then, when I’m completely isolated and broken, I will be forced to come back to you because I will have nowhere else to go.”

Daniels also highlighted contradictions in Nwoko’s narrative, noting, “You say you want me to go for rehab, but you are the same Ned who always wanted me high because, in your words, I’m ‘sexier’ when I’m high.”

She pointed to previous patterns, asking pointed questions about Nwoko’s past spouses and alleged drug abuse, and accused him of locking her up and forcing medication injections when she resisted.

The actress insisted she had never exhibited behavior consistent with intoxication unless under his control, asserting, “Every problem we have had started when I no longer wanted you, whether sober or even high. Stop using the ‘drugs’ narrative to create a distraction.”

Daniels also revealed that they are not legally married, explaining, “I would have filed for divorce if we were.”

She concluded by vowing to continue her public fight against Nwoko, while alleging that he possesses a private sex tape of her, further complicating the dispute.

This explosive statement adds a new dimension to the ongoing public conflict between Daniels and Nwoko, spotlighting issues of domestic violence, control, and the complex dynamics within their relationship.
