The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has indefinitely extended the deadline for the submission of expression of interest and nomination forms ahead of its national convention.
In a statement issued in Abuja, the Secretary of the Convention Publicity Sub-Committee, Debo Ologunagba, said the deadline, earlier set for Friday, 26 September, would no longer apply. A new date will be announced in due course.
The committee has also postponed the screening of aspirants, which had been scheduled for Tuesday, 30 September.
Ologunagba explained that the decision was taken to ensure smooth preparations for the exercise, urging aspirants to take note of the extension.
The PDP national elective convention is scheduled to hold on 15 and 16 November in Ibadan, Oyo State.
