Paul Pogba has opened up about the emotional toll of a recent court case involving his brother Mathias and several childhood friends. The case concluded with multiple convictions, including Mathias Pogba, who has been sentenced to three years in prison for his role in the kidnapping and blackmail plot against the former Manchester United and Juventus star.

The verdict, delivered this week, found six individuals guilty, with Mathias receiving a partially suspended sentence. Instead of serving his full term in prison, Mathias will spend the remaining 12 months under house arrest with an ankle monitor. Others involved received sentences of up to eight years and significant financial penalties.

Despite the outcome, Paul Pogba expressed no satisfaction, highlighting the personal pain the case has caused. “There is no winner in this case, which involves members of my family and people that I have known since childhood,” Pogba shared with AFP. “I can now finally turn the page on this extremely painful period. This conclusion is an opportunity for everyone to focus on the future.”

Pogba, who has been absent from professional football due to a doping ban since September of last year, is now looking ahead to his return. Cleared to resume training in January, the 31-year-old midfielder is eager to reboot his career. As a free agent following his contract termination with Juventus, Pogba is at the center of transfer speculations, with clubs like Manchester City, Marseille, and Corinthians reportedly interested in securing his talents.
