The potential transfer of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen to Chelsea has resurfaced, with Blues legend John Mikel Obi claiming a deal could be easily revived this summer.
Osimhen, 26, was heavily linked with Chelsea from Napoli in the previous transfer window, but the move ultimately collapsed due to the player’s wage demands. Now, as Chelsea seek a new forward, speculation has reignited, despite reported interest from Manchester United and potential offers from Saudi Arabia.
Mikel, speaking on Bein Sports, offered an optimistic outlook on the situation. “He (Osimhen) wants to play for Chelsea,” he stated. “I hope he’ll be playing his football next season somewhere in the Premier League. I hope he comes. I know where we stopped with the contract. I know where we are. It’s an easy fix because we’ve done all the hard work last summer.”
