Former Edo State Governor and Senator, Adams Oshiomhole, has openly criticised Senate President Godswill Akpabio over the nation’s deteriorating security situation, declaring that the government’s efforts have fallen short of public expectations.
In a strongly worded intervention, Oshiomhole expressed frustration over persistent attacks and rising insecurity across parts of the country, arguing that citizens deserve greater protection and accountability from those entrusted with leadership.
The senator also took aim at the military hierarchy, lamenting what he described as a lack of responsiveness to critical concerns raised by lawmakers and affected communities.
“You have failed,” Oshiomhole reportedly told Akpabio during a heated exchange, underscoring growing concerns within the political establishment over the government’s handling of security challenges.
His remarks add to mounting pressure on authorities to deliver tangible results as Nigerians continue to grapple with kidnappings, banditry and other security threats across the country.
