Peter Obi is holding a closed-door meeting with Bala Mohammed at the Bauchi State Government House, in what is seen as a significant political consultation linked to his presidential ambition.
The meeting, taking place away from public view, comes amid growing political manoeuvring ahead of Nigeria’s next election cycle. Obi, a former governor of Anambra State and a key opposition figure, arrived at the government house accompanied by a delegation that includes Igbo elders, senators from the South-East under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), and several political associates.
While details of the discussions have not been disclosed, the engagement is widely viewed as part of broader efforts to consolidate regional and cross-party support.
Neither Obi nor Governor Mohammed has issued an official statement on the outcome of the meeting.
