A senior figure in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has described Nigeria’s current situation as dire, arguing that the country’s challenges demand solutions beyond conventional party politics.
Wale Gomez, a chieftain of the party, said there is growing sentiment — both locally and internationally — that the ADC represents a credible alternative for national renewal.
“Nigeria is in a mess and everybody around the world now feels that ADC is the only answer,” Gomez said, framing the party as a viable option amid widespread dissatisfaction with the political status quo.
He added that the country’s problems transcend partisan divides, calling for a broader, more inclusive approach to governance and reform.
The remarks come as political actors intensify positioning ahead of future elections, with opposition parties seeking to capitalise on public frustration and present themselves as agents of change.
