The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has confirmed the elimination of over 15 terrorists in precision airstrikes targeting a newly uncovered hideout west of Zuwa in the Sambisa Forest, Borno State.

In a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja, NAF spokesperson Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame said the operation was carried out on Wednesday under Operation Hadin Kai, following credible intelligence and surveillance that exposed the enclave as a hub for fighters and commanders linked to recent attacks around Bitta.

The strikes destroyed key structures within the camp and inflicted heavy losses on the insurgents. Ejodame noted that the mission underscored the Air Force’s professionalism, commitment to supporting ground troops, and determination to safeguard Nigerians.

He added that each successful strike weakens terrorist networks and brings the country a step closer to lasting peace.
