Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian says more than 14 million Iranians have declared their readiness to sacrifice their lives in defence of the country, as regional tensions continue to rise.
Speaking amid an intensifying conflict, Pezeshkian said he also counts himself among those prepared to die for Iran.
“I have been, am, and will remain among those willing to sacrifice,” he said.
His remarks come as Iran faces mounting pressure following continued air attacks and escalating hostilities across the region, with authorities urging citizens to mobilise in support of national defence efforts.
