A Nigerian politician, Hon. M.A Modibbo, has formally declared his intention to contest for a seat in the State House of Assembly representing Yola North Constituency in the 2027 elections.

In a statement released on Monday, April 28, 2027, Modibbo said his decision was driven by what he described as a “deep commitment” to public service and a desire to promote what he called integrity, transparency, and dedicated representation for his constituency.

He said the people of Yola North deserve leadership that prioritises inclusive development and amplifies community interests at the state level.

“The journey to a better Yola North starts now,” he said, framing his bid as a push for youth empowerment and sustainable development across the constituency.

Modibbo’s declaration adds to the growing political activity ahead of Nigeria’s next general election cycle, as aspirants across various parties begin positioning themselves for legislative and executive offices.

He is expected to seek his party’s nomination in the coming months as campaign activities gradually gain momentum nationwide.
