Tensions in Nollywood have reignited as actress Lizzy Anjorin publicly levelled a fresh wave of accusations against fellow actress Iyabo Ojo, alleging calculated attempts to ruin her marriage and smear her reputation.
In a revealing Instagram post made on her fifth wedding anniversary, Lizzy expressed deep pain over what she described as a sustained campaign of defamation, manipulation, and betrayal allegedly orchestrated by Iyabo Ojo.
According to Lizzy, “Dear Iyabo Ojo, marriage is about kindness and loyalty. It’s not about destruction but about building together, it’s about giving them a second chance to become a better version of themselves. A good marriage isn’t about tearing a family down; it’s about loving and building a family together.”
She further alleged that Iyabo hired an individual to secretly record her husband, forged a death certificate to raise money online, and spread false information about her through blogs and social media platforms.
“I still remember how you called me, claiming that Senator Melaye gave you a diamond wedding ring shortly after my wedding. I never knew it was a lie. Why did you cook up stories about getting a diamond ring? To do what again? Gangan,” she added.
The actress accused Ojo of exploiting public sympathy for personal gain, stating that her children had been adversely affected by the ongoing drama.
This is not the first time the pair have been embroiled in a public feud. Iyabo Ojo had previously sued Lizzy Anjorin for defamation, seeking N1 billion in damages. However, the case was dismissed by the court, which instead awarded Iyabo N500,000 in cost.
Despite the legal setback, the rift between the two actresses appears far from over, with fans and industry stakeholders calling for calm and maturity on both sides.
