Kokona Road Infrastructure : Monarch,Stakeholders Eulogies Initiatives, As Locals Says Impact Will boost Economy

In recent Kokona local government Area in Nasarawa West Senatorial District has received unprecedented road infrastructure ,included in the released of #13,000.000.000.00 by the state government for coming instructions of One Kilometer road to be constructed in each of the 13 local government areas of the state ,residents of the area are already celebrating

The intervention of the state government under the leadership of Engineer Abdullahi Sule,the state governor was a huge impact on the socio economic lives.On Monday at Agwan Takwa critical stakeholders , political office seekers that included governorship aspirants joined the former and first executive governor senator Abdullahi Adamu to flag off a 18.5 kilometer road rehabilitation initiated by Senator representing Nasarawa West and Chairman Senate Committee on Public Accounts,Distinguished senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu,who dulled out #148,500.000.00 for the road development that included the constructions of 3 culverts along 5 communities linking the villages to the urban area.

The Abaga Toni and Paramount Ruler of Kokona, Mr. Lawrence Ayih,in an exclusive interview following the project initiated by Senator Wadada at Agwan Takwa spoke on the significance importance of the roads highlighting the people’s long burdened caused by a long period of isolation.Reiteratimg the emotional truth of the development which has restored dignity, renewed hope, and how the communities shall be reconnected.

According to him “Governance ultimately exists to serve this purpose.The flagged off the 18.5km Agwan Takwa Junction–Moroa Town Road is more than a ceremonial event; it is a defining statement of leadership, vision, and indeed a path way for economic growth not only for people of Kokona but to the entire state.

*It is on this premise that I want to appreciate first the executive of Nasarawa State for giving the matching order for roads constructions across LGAs in the state which Kokona is not left out.I I speak to you work has began in earnest.Senator Wadada who followed suits by upgrading the Angwan Takwa to Morao ,Ninkuro ,up to Tatara from his personal resources is a great sense of responsibility that was demonstrated by the senator” The Monarch posited .

For farmers, traders, students, and commuters across Kokona Local Government Area, the road is an economic lifeline. It will ease transportation, reduce post-harvest losses, open rural markets, and attract new investments.

An excited resident said Development, after all, is not abstract,it is felt in how easily people move, trade, learn, and live”Senator Wadada understands this, and his actions reflect that understanding” He stated.

The permanent secretary, Nasarawa State Ministry of works who represented the governor , Engineer Abdullahi Sule said this broader infrastructural vision of senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu,complementing the state government efforts, rather than competing demonstrates a maturity in governance that prioritizes results over personal credit.

“This ability to work across levels of government is exactly what Nasarawa State needs in its next governor” The PS added.

The calibre of dignitaries present at the event further underscores how important the project is.

Former APC National Chairman Senator Abdullahi Adamu, described the project as proof of Wadada’s grassroots commitment. He called for unity, peace, and adherence to zoning not incidental” Sustainable development thrives where fairness and inclusion are respected. Wadada’s politics fits squarely within this stabilizing tradition” Senator Adamu said.

On his part,Dr. Aliyu Bello, APC Chairman in the state, echoed the need for discipline and responsibility in the political space. He warns against overheating the polity.

Also ,Hon, Daniel Ogazi of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly highlighted the project’s statewide benefits.

“This is not a narrow intervention for political points; it is a strategic infrastructure upgrade with ripple effects across Kokona and beyond. Leaders who think this broadly are leaders ready to govern an entire state.

The contractor ,Mr Douglas Chom of Mob -Lab Engineering and Construction Company said technically, the project is sound and forward-looking, the rehabilitation includes three concrete culverts,evidence that this is not cosmetic work, but durable infrastructure designed to last.

“Wadada is not just cutting ribbons; he is laying foundations” He pointed out.

On his part ,Dr. Faisal Shuaib’s praises Senator Wadada’s philanthropic and people-centered disposition while calling for peaceful campaigns.

“This is instructive. Leadership is not only about winning elections; it is about earning trust through character, generosity, and a genuine desire for collective progress”Faisal added.

Similarly, Professor Silas Gyar who is also the chairman board of Senator Wadada campaign organization described him as God sent philanthropist of the highest order while calling on the people to vote massively for Senator Wadada in 2027.
